How the masses are manipulated by the elites

As a matter of interest the AO (Aussie open) will not be available on Irish tv. Nor will it be so on the bbc,itv,sky sports, bt sports or indeed at all. Sometimes Eurosport might come through though they usually only show the women. This was also the case last sept. with the u.s open. In the end Channel4 we’re ordered to show the womens final and did so courtesy of Amazon Prime who later boasted that they had wrested a fortune from the hapless tv company . It is in this context that we might try to interpret the furore around Djokovic. Another context would be the merits of the various arguments.

Clearly the Aussie pols are on a sticky wicket if they allow him to sail through. This would be an honourable position if it wasn’t a thing that when Aussie was preventing forty thousand of its own citizens from returning home in2020 the Hollywood set was allowed to decamp there en masse as its reputation of being covid free spread. Nor were they expected to slum it in some fire prone doss house like the unfortunate refugees when they arrived. But of course none of the aforementioned is the real story here.

What we are seeing here is a classic example of how the masses are manipulated by the elites. For the truth is this isn’t in the first billion newsworthy items going on in the world. ‘If it bleeds, it leads’ used to be the guiding principal of news editors back in the day and that was cynical enough but social media and anti democratic forces now set the agenda on what leads and the public interest it turns out is of no interest to these realities.
