The many war crimes of Henry Kissinger

As we watch the daily eviceration of the few remaining US journalists who dare speak up for Palestine news reaches that the century old pin up boy of the chattering classes is gone to that great debating chamber in the sky. But while there may be much regret and revisionism amongst the Georgetown set, history will provide a much harsher and realistic ledger of the many war crimes of Henry Kissinger. We’ve been here before but there’s no harm in recalling his greatest hits. These would include the genocide of the East Timorese by Indonesia ( described by those in the know as the big wink) in 1975, the slaughter in Bangladesh on ‘71,( India put a stop to it), the bombing of cambodia( paving the way for the murderous pol pot) and of course the overthrow of the democratically elected government of Chile in 1973. No wonder Hillary calls him her ‘mentor’. Back in ‘01 king Henry was proposed to lead the 9/11 inquiry. Sadly this proved impossible for even the Bush crowd had to concede that the millions he had raked in from the bombers home country Saudi Arabia plus his failure to reach a basic level of acceptability left him hopelessly compromised for such a task.

Anyway, his apologists are out front and centre, brazening it out as usual with their mad flat eartherism and political thuggery. Meanwhile, we got to see a proper American politician earlier in the week as Jimmy carter buried his wife Rosalyn. Carter famously ‘never fired a shot’ as president and for this neither the political establishment or their masters in the military industrial complex much less the people forgave him and he was out after one term in favour of a Hollywood actor who gave them all the blood and gore they craved. Tragic is right.
